ABOUT ME
I was raised in the once small town of Spanish Fork, in a house full of artists. Both my parents love art, and in fact met in their high school art class. When I was young I was "blessed" with almost constant double ear infections causing my hearing to be extremely obscured, and my speech followed suit. Due to my insecurities in speech and hearing, my dad worked with me to express my thoughts and desires through drawings. It became the way that I could express myself, relieve stress, and feel empowered in myself. I have stuck with it ever since. I have two sisters, one five years older, the other five years younger. I also have three nieces and one nephew that I'm obsessed with!
I have a huge passion for all areas of art and design, and have worked hard to expand my knowledge and abilities in this amazing field. I chose graphic design because I love the idea that my designs and work can shape the lives of people around me. I have spent many years working for a custom T-shirt business, creating designs that would be sold online. I am currently live in Orem, with SEVEN roommates (yes it's a lot, but it's also a blast!) I also spent the last seven years working as a Cosmetologist in Orem. I love that I am able to change someone's view of themselves during their appointment. Both art and cosmetology have the power of touching the lives of people around us.
I graduated this past spring of 2021with my Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design with Cum Laude at Utah Valley University. I am so grateful for my amazing time there where I was able to push my education in this field with the full support of my professors and cohort.
With a past filled heavily influenced and inspired by the arts, I have grown as a daring, determined, and passionate artist working towards bettering and transforming design. I believe artist can look at the world around them and change how others view it through the power of design.
