Using various sizes of toothpicks, Popsicle sticks and skewers, I recreated a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower for a creative project of my choice. Studying photographs and measurements of the original tower, I broke down the tower into four sections, the bottom, middle, the tower and the top.
Drawing one individual section, I placed wax paper on top and began following the layout with toothpicks and glue. Repeating this four times for each side. I constructed the tower and arches from soaking the wood in water overnight and bending them into shape with a clamp as they dried.
Lastly, I glued each level together with it's sides and stacked each level adding walkways between the levels.
