This project was to create a campaign based on a series of logos, fitting together under one "parent". Each design with a different category, yet uniting as a full campaign.
For my set of logos, I researched popular examples of logo series, and many came up as subcategories of food and drink lines. I wanted to break the typical stereotypes, and decided to create a fictional company that would design appliances and decor for the home.
I chose three standard rooms of the home, the Kitchen, the Bedroom, and the Bathroom, and worked to design a custom logo, that could represent each room, in an elegant way. Because I wanted to elevate these rooms to a place of grandeur, I decided to incorporate the French culture in both the logo design, as well as the pieces that would be sold.
For each logo, I explored important signifiers that could depict each space. A door's keyhole, a French press, and a sink faucet became my individual icons for each line of my branding campaign.
Using the French name for Home, Maison became the name of my "parent" company, with Chambre for bedroom, Cusine for kitchen, and Salle de Bains for the bathroom. I chose light, yet elegant color patterns to exemplify the ornateness fo the brand.
When it came to packaging, I wanted to express the many different styles the French culture could evoke. From the Haussmann streets, Parisian Chateaues, Chalet style, and many many more. For each box I chose a background illustration to demonstrate the different living styles found in France, supported by their selected color line to emphasize their category.
Lastly I created a window so the viewer could see the product they were searching for, as well as a description on the inside cover. As they opened to look inside, they symbolically open the experience of French culture into their personal home.
