I have always had a love of the human face. Either drawing, painting, sculpting or even photographing, I have always thought of the face as the true speaker in our emotions, thoughts and behaviors.
For 3D Design, we were asked to make a sculpture out of Tie Wire representing something living. While many people chose animals or plants, I chose the challenge of a wire bust. My idea was to have a soft reflective woman that while made of wire, seemed soft and realistic.
Beginning with the eyes, nose and mouth, I began adding different widths of wire to emphasize part of the face. Building outward I added the jawline, ears, hair and bust.
