A typographic profile for Joseph DeAngelo, who recently plead guilty and was sentenced to life in prison, for his evil acts as the Golden State Killer, Original Night Stalker, East Area Rapist and Ransacker.
His acts led to a cold case for over thirty years, but modern technology and DNA Tracking was able to locate and sentence him. I incorporated both a timeline for his personal life, and criminal history, overlaying them as his life hid two extremes.
Using DNA sequence codes, I also incorporated light splotches of DNA throughout this piece, connected by a red dashed line, as his DNA would eventually lead to his capture. I finished this piece by stamping my fingers in ink and handled the print, leaving my own print on my work as he did.
